Ashley Palochak, LCSW

Specialized EMDR for life’s challenges.

Clinical Background

Beginning as a victim advocate for sexual assault survivors, my career as a social worker has included a variety of roles, such as investigator for Adult Protective services, high-acuity inpatient care for youth in crisis, and serving as Clinical Director for residential substance use treatment. This breadth of experience allows me to meet clients with a deep understanding of how trauma and stress manifest across the lifespan, from adolescence and beyond retirement.

My Therapeutic Style

I believe the the best work happens in an authentic, direct relationship. My style is grounded in unconditional positive regard, but I’m also a firm believer in what DBT labels “irreverence.” I show up as an honest voice of reason, someone who will provide a safe space for your vulnerability while directly challenging the patterns that no longer serve you.

EMDR with ADAPTIVE CLINICAL SOLUTIONS

The Adaptive Approach

The name of my practice reflects the core goal of my work. Using EMDR, the aim is to reprocess “stuck” (maladaptive) memories into healthy, integrated (adaptive) memory networks.

I specialized in the powerful combination of EMDR and Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT). This dual-modality approach pairs the practical, immediate self-regulation skills of DBT with the deep processing of EMDR, moving clients beyond survival and toward lasting recovery.
